Youth Live4Life is protecting lives where it matters most – saving young lives in rural communities through mental health education and suicide prevention.

The Live4Life model is a long-term, locally-driven prevention approach that involves the whole community. Through school and community partnerships, mental health training and youth mental health ambassadors, Youth Live4Life works with local communities to improve youth mental health and reduce youth suicide rates. With several independent evaluations, an awarded evidence-based model, and a waitlist of 20+ rural and regional communities, Youth Live4Life is working to reach more rural communities and save more young lives.

2021 Pitch

Funds Raised: $42,850

The importance of Youth Live4Life's work was highlighted in the 2019 Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System, which stated: “The Live4Life case study illustrates an example of a local organisation driving change in young people’s lives.” With a current waitlist of 20+ rural and regional communities hoping to access Youth Live4Life's services, CEO Bernard Galbally pitched at TFN Rebuilding Regional Victoria to expand the program to reach more communities in need.
