Word Travels inspires, engages and empowers young people and people from marginalised and disadvantaged backgrounds to perform their written word.
Word Travels’ vision is to enhance lives through great writing that is powerfully performed, improving literacy and life opportunities through creative expression.

Word Travels has identified a need to build relationships with First Nations organisations in the areas where they run poetry slams. Miles pitched at TFN Virtual Live to hire an Indigenous education officer who will engage youth in communities across rural and regional Australia, increasing Indigenous participation in Word Travel's programs, workshops, performances and events.
