Pro Patria Centre

Pro Patria Centre

Pro Patria Centre is an innovative facility focused on developing self-agency in veterans, first responders and their families to manage their own health and wellbeing.

At Pro Patria they aim to restore, regenerate and empower the veteran and first responder community with ongoing support, strategies and skills for life beyond service. The Pro Patria Centre believes it can support Defence families to connect with each other and minimise the challenges they face with life in a military family in a way that will be unique, yet complimentary to the other ex-Service Organisations. The programs that are being proposed for the centre will ensure they build capacity in the area of veteran and first responder support so the region can thrive no matter the circumstances.

2023 Pitch

Funds Raised: $24,224

Jason pitched to raise funds to to renovate the kitchen to bring it up to industry standard so they can start to run cooking classes to have the "to plate" part of the program on site. Extending the program to include the kitchen refurbishment and allow the "to plate" of the "kitchen garden to plate" program will help build food preparation/cooking skills and self-agency in the veterans, first responders and their families.
