Nairm Marr Djambana

Nairm Marr Djambana

Nairm Marr Djambana provides a safe, welcoming space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

families in the Frankston area can access cultural strengthening, health and wellbeing, and education and

training programs.

The Nairm Marr Djambana Board is working to enhance self-determination to ensure the local First Nations community can meet their social, cultural and economic needs. It has developed an early stage social enterprise catering business to enhance organisational sustainability. Based on a sound Theory of Change, Djambana Catering aims to support the Gathering Place to achieve improved social, economic and cultural outcomes for community members. The intention is for the catering service to generate sufficient funds to create a sustainable business arm to cover costs and help fund education, health and wellbeing programs in response to the needs of First Nations community members.
