Helping adult survivors of child sexual abuse and complex trauma reclaim agency over their bodies and narratives through boxing and creative writing.

Left Write Hook delivers a research-informed recovery program combining non-contact boxing and expressive writing to support adult survivors of child sexual abuse and complex trauma. Designed to help participants reclaim power over their bodies and narratives, the program offers a trauma-informed, embodied healing experience that uniquely bridges physical movement and creative self-expression.

2025 Pitch

Funds Raised: $43,000

Pitched at Equity and Inclusion event for support to deliver a 12-week trauma-informed program tailored for women and gender-diverse people who have experienced complex trauma, including family and domestic violence. Funding will enable a safe, supportive space where participants can heal through creative expression and physical empowerment, forming part of a University of Melbourne research initiative focused on long-term recovery outcomes.
