Alithia meets the needs of children requiring social and emotional support, those that are neuro-diverse, those from minority groups, those experiencing learning difficulties and hardships, and those considered to be in need of a nurturing, creative environment and opportunities.
Alithia’s mission is to provide specialised learning environments in which children’s social and emotional well-being are keys to lifelong learning and growth. The Alithia Learning Hub facilitates a variety of hands-on activities and workshops which use proven therapeutic techniques to support children as they develop their confidence, creativity, self-expression, and self-regulation.
2021 Pitch
Funds Raised: $58,500
Director Talula Hughes pitched at TFN Virtual Live for funding to deliver a variety of workshops and activities to children in disadvantaged rural areas. The workshops focus on collaborative innovation, emotional resilience, creative thinking and academics.
The Impact…
Alithia has been able to support 40 children and their families throughout a very tough year. They had fully booked out programs with families facing financial hardship given scholarships. The Junior Programs removed a large amount of stress from parents working from home and gave the children tools for resilience and emotional release. During the second-half of the year and to date, Alithia has been working with council and has been awarded land for building an Alithia learning hub. So watch this space!
