Equity and Inclusion

Equipping women in and exiting custody with the tools and support needed to rebuild their lives with dignity and autonomy.

Project:herSELF is a transformative organisation that supports women impacted by the justice system in building lives of freedom, dignity, and purpose. Through programs designed and led by women with lived experience, they provide the tools, community, and advocacy needed to end cycles of incarceration and create real, lasting change.

2025 Pitch

Funds Raised: $30,150

Pitched at Equity and Inclusion event to expand its Self-Directed Release Plan initiative, empowering women in custody to independently prepare for life post-release. Through culturally respectful, self-paced planning tools developed alongside community Elders, women are supported to map out critical areas of reintegration, enhancing their self-determination and helping them overcome systemic barriers to successful re-entry into their communities.
