Classroom of Hope

Classroom of Hope

Building schools in Lombok, Indonesia with
blocks made from recycled plastic waste.

Classroom of Hope builds sustainable schools and homes from recycled plastic that are safe and secure for communities and students in developing countries. They achieve this by partnering with local NGOs to implement school-building programs.

2022 Pitch

Funds Raised: $27,820

Nicola Courtin, Co-Founder and Creative Director is passionate about creating a world where all children have access to quality education. She pitched for funding to build more block classrooms to help more children learn.

The Impact…

Building Block schools allows Classroom of Hope to expand their Block Schools program and create safe, earthquake-resistant structures where children can learn and feel secure. 71 students attend East Pemenang 5 Primary School. The additional classroom at the school means that there are now enough classrooms to accommodate all the students at the school. 16 workers were also trained and employed through the building of this classroom.
